buschur turbo kits compared to ams turbo kits..
coating the inside of the manifold should reduce the under bonnet temps conciderably and reult in a more durable header to as the heat would need to pass through a thermal barrier to reach the SS. would also help with spool up as you are keeping more energy in the exhaust gases. take a look at a thread on here about ceramic coating. very good.
thanks Chris.
thanks Chris.
i purchased the ams 3076 kit. i also did the aem standalone. martin at ams tuned it. the tune is very smooth. havent driven it much yet...drove it straight home in rush hour traffic, so i cant give all the specifics....seems like it takes awhile to hit full boost, but im reserving judgement till i can drive it more.
the biggest factor for me in going with ams, is that they are local. if i have a problem, no matter what it is, i can get in my car and be there in 20 mins....
now im looking at their 2.3 stroker kit....

dont worry mike once you get into it a little more you will notice the the couple hundred rpm that you sacrifice in spool is infinitely countered by your stomach being tossed into your kidneys

i went for a ride with martin.....when that turbo hits, its like a sledgehammer....obviously not like the stock turbo....but martin was driving it....i couldnt get on it by the time i paid my bill and went home...
too much traffic by then....so i as of yet dont exactly have first hand impressions of all aspects of the turbo.....very nice work and craftsmanship though.
now eric, get off the computer and find out about the 2.3 kit like i asked u too.
BACK TO WORK!!

we do not. the kits that we have available were handpicked by martin for spool and horsepower. If you are interested in the 3037 then the 3071 would be perfect for you.

Also, which would be preferential towards someone looking for right around 400 WHP (On 93 or 94 octane) on a daily driver while maintaining a stock-like spool?
Thanks.
