Question Standalone Ecu

Which is better AEM or APEXI POWER FC?

Because i`m going to sell Apexi for buying AEM or MOTEC.
What do you think.
Is it worth it?
All say APEXI is weak!
Thanks

The AEM EMS is one awesome piece of work. We use a Motec on tube chassis twin turbo V6 Buick that I race. The AEM EMS is just as great a unit as the Motec with a ton less cost and much easier to set up. We have them instock and have a ton of base maps. Tuning is free if you get the EMS from us.

Power FC is a great unit when combined with the fc datalogit. Without it the AEM comes out on top imho.

I have not used the Power FC. Looks interesting though. After using the EMS I just don't see any sense in looking into anything else. As I said, we have a bunch of base maps for the EVO, we can do the tuning by e-mail, this leaves no reasons not to use it.

All depends what you are after honestly...both ecu's work very well, but they are honestly for different types of customers in my opinion. The AEM is a very powerful tuning tool and out of the box allows you to do anything you can imagine from a tuning perspective. It obviously requires a laptop for tuning.

The Apexi is a bit less money in both L Jetro and D Jetro versions, and it uses it's own programmer, though in its standard form does not have near the resolution that the AEM does, nor the datalogging capabilities, nor the ability to integrate to a wideband 02 (at least I don't think the Apexi can accept a wideband input...correct me someone if I am wrong)

Ultimately, it comes down to budget and what interface you (or your tuner) are more comfortable with
