A friend ran his 2gen RX-7 Turbo II really hard....so we look under the hood and the turbo w/ exhaust pipes here glowing red......he thought his car was on fire and sprayed water all over it.... it sounded like rice krispies for a minute while my mouth was opened in ahww......needless to say the car never ran as peppy as it used to lolol

I just looked at mine after a short drive tonight and noticed it was glowing. I'd never looked before, I was surprised at how little it took to make it glow like that.

That's why some companies like using iron manifold. Even though heavier they can take alot of heat. I heard that HKS manifolds tends to crack.

I blasted it tonight to witness this phenomena, and what do you know...it glowed. I couldnt' get any decent pictures or videos, because they were so hard to get at night. If I parked under a light, you couldn't really see it glow. It doesn't help that our heatshield blocks 99% of it.

The reason a lot of the SS manifolds crack is because they are not properly braced. With proper bracing, they won't crack.
