Yes it yields about 11 more whp than a K&N drop in. and it sounds cool too.

? 11whp? is this proven?

Because I heard this intake drops about 3whp. But K$N drop adds about 4whp.

This was from a guy who's dynoed his car with it and without.

his setup is STOCK BOX w/k&N filter (took out the HKS suction kit), cam gears both front and rear, XETE, catback exhaust and few other things.

Questions regarding engine system mods belong in the Engine/turbo/drivetrain forum.

Moving this one.

From K&N to Hks Rs I picked up 2hp. Of course as you know each dyno run is different, as it gets cooler /or hotter. I did a before pull an a after pull.

blackevo,

If I were you, I'd spend the money on (or save it for) something else. The stock air intake is fine.

Just my $0.02...

I agree...unless you just want to hear the turbo. You might gain a few hp, but you will probably lose just as much tq. Intake not worth it imo. I have the cusco hard pipe and hks filter. Sounds cool, but don't think I gained much, especially considering the cost.

me and my friend had similar mods and we would run dead even, then i added the hks rs intake and we would run dead even until about forth gear and i would just pull away through fifth. it definatly gives you more power up top.

on the dyno with the rs kit their was no power gain over the stock box. Vishnu makes 440 on the dyno with stock air box. works for me.

With the risk of driveability issues and inconsistent performance, I'd just stick to the stock air box w/ an aftermarket drop-in filter. I'm still waiting for WORKS to come out w/ their drop-in filter. I hate the oily mess that K&Ns leave.

Yup...I have one and I love it...the turbo spool is loud as hell now...you should tune your car for it, though...it gives a nice gain, especially up top...

I think intake is good when you get different turbo, i think stock one flows fine save money for different mods - i got k&n cone just for now but also Iam thinking to get k&n that goes inside of the stock air box so it wont collect hot air.
