My EGTs are pretty high(i think) I am getting up to 1600 degress before I start backing off. I hit 1700 degrees once so I know I can go higher. I have a turbo back exhaust and a boost controller(set at 20psi). Anyones else seeing this high of EGT's?

where do you guys have the thermocouple placed?

 

I don't get it. I run 91 20psi. Maybe I need to get a wideband. This is just the excuse to get a UTEC and Tuner.

I don't have an EGT gauge, but know of someone with an Ev0 8 with one. I will try to get her peak reading.
We use 90 Octane petrol.

I run Vishnu stage 1+.

On a race gas (100 octane) tune, I never see more than 810C at WOT in 5th gear.

This is measured from a Defi EGT probe in cylinder 1 of the exhaust manifold.

 

Danger zone is above 900C -- 1650F. Mine peaks at 900C. 11.3 a/f 20 psi boost-93 octane. Greddy memory gauge egt probe in cylinder 1, DNP header.

 

Bluemaster, I got the DNP from quantum also. can you PM me how to tap the EGT sensor to the manifold? Thanks.

I have hit the peak while going up a canyon at solid 20 psi for an extended amount of time. I know i was putting strain on it I was just making sure others were getting the same readings. Because they did scare me when they got that high. Thanks for your help.

Before I put cams in the highest I would see was 880-900c. With HKS cams the highest I have seen is about 820c

Running a bit rich you mean. I see around 1350f to 1400f. I need to lean this pig out.
