EGT on EVO
I KNOW THAT OUR CARS NOT FOR HIGHWAYS, BUT NOT THAT MUCH!!
TODAY I RAN ON HIGHWAY WITH BOOST 1.3 ON EACH GEAR, AND IN 5 MINUTES EGT WAS 970-980c!!!! And my friend which was behind me said there was a fire from exhaust, for about 4 seconds!
Do you have the same problems?
May be it will help
MODS:
1)TURBO-BACK
2)COLD SPARKS
3)R-SPL INTERCOOLER
4)POWER FC (D-JETRO) with base settings
5)ARC intake
6)HKS BOV
7)WALBRO 255 FUEL PUMP
8)APEXI AVC-R

1200C? Where's your EGT probe? In the cylinder? That's hard to believe, unless you also tell us that you've melted some valves or something. Even if you aren't having any problems, running that hot isn't a good idea.
It's on the manifold port #2. It could be a misreading but, Ive seen it acouple of times and my car is pretty stock, so I thought it was normal. It doesnt happen much, only when I get on it after its been on for a while. And there hasnt been any decrease in performance.

ITs not so much a decrease in performance, but 1200 degrees is enough to melt the pistons so its likely a misread.. If your belching alot of burning raw gas through the exhaust manifold you could also get very high EGT's...
