No issues with my Evo MR BOV. Idle is like stock for me with AC on or off. Boost holds well, I'm running 21 PSI tapering to 20 PSI with Exede. Boost seems hit peak PSI quicker than before.

For you guys that are stalling or nearly stalling, recheck your clamps.

I’ve stalled once since I installed my MR BOV about 1500 miles ago. I have noticed the rpm’s dropping to around 500 a few times. The stalling and rpm dropping usually happens when taking off from a stop with medium throttle or more and then stepping on the clutch. I’m guessing the acceleration enrichment the ECU is not tuned for the MR BOV.

Does MR BOV have some kind of nylon or rubber sealing? Just curious.

I do not have the MR BOV, but my car exhibits the same drop in idle and occasional stalling with the stock BOV. It usually happens when going through drive thru's or at intersections where you have to get rolling and then push in the clutch suddenly.

Point is, I believe it is something other than the MR valve causing this problem, maybe stock ECU being tuned so rich?

Same here. After reading this thread I think I'll order mine soon.

Now that the MR is almost here in the states, I wonder if you can just order an MR BOV at the dealer. I'm sure it will be less than the $120 it's going for right now since that price includes an import fee. The vortex generators that were selling for $300 can now be had for around $200. I'm guessing the MR BOV will be around $80.

someone was saying here on the forums that the EVO MR here in the states is still going to keep the stock plastic BOV. They also said that the MR BOV is a ralliart part or something like that.

What is wrong with you people? This is not a bov. This is a dv, or diverter valve. Learn what your putting on your cars

The RFL is mos def a bov...hence the scared children bit... The mr is a diverter design, they both preform essentialy the same function, albeit slightly differnt. I think we all get it ...do you?

Care to enlighten us on what the differences are between blow-off valves and diverter valves? The MR valve is the same type of valve as the 1g "BOV". So if I vent my MR "diverter" valve to atmosphere, does it become a blow-off valve?
