I have boost spiking issues (23.5psi) and apparent boost leak issues (17.6psi sustained) with the stock DV (engine is totally stock). I also have the stumbling and stalling issues.

Do you think the MR valve will help me?

Will it help my running stupidly rich issue? (puffing black smoke and smelling gas in the oil rich)?

Does anyone have any problems with the MR BOV and a HKS RS intake? I've read a few stories of people having problems with the MR BOV and the HKS RS intake.

Maybe someone that has a MR Bov and a wideband can let us know what their a/f ratio is before the stall to see if in fact the car is running too rich at low rpms.

Does anyone with an SAFC notice the same stalling problem?

i agree its a rich issue, I installed a injen intake and mine does the same thing and thats all i have done. Talked to a local tuner around here and he told me that it sounds like its rich in the lower rpm. That would be great if someone had a wideband so we could find out

Point is, I believe it is something other than the MR valve causing this problem, maybe stock ECU being tuned so rich?
Yep. I also get this problem when I'm parking in my driveway and backing up only to move forward again. I also have the stock BOV. Interesting problem..

are you sure its the bov and not the turbo fluttering..

one thing i did notice, spiking is a lot more prominent now. but if you are in a low gear accelerating hard, it only spikes for a spilt second, but say in 5th at 70 mph i floor it it will spike to 22-23 lbs (set at 20) and then go back to 20 lbs after a bit.

I just picked up my MR BOV about 30 minutes ago. I'm gonna install it tonight. By the looks of it a small child could almost do this install. My car is completely bone stock. Will I hear a "pssssshhhhh" even on the stock airbox/airfilter?

Nope. The stock airbox is very good at silencing the turbo and dv sounds. You will hear it on an aftermarket intake though.
