Loose hose clamp leads to intercooler piping falling off

about 5 months ago when i had my new clutch put in. they had to take off a lot of stuff including the intercooler piping, well the other day i was driving at full (stock) boost and all of a sudden, i head a "pop" or something im all like, wow wtf was that and my car starts to bog and idle all funny. so about 5 secondds after, i pull to the side of the road. and im all like AHHH. so i pop the hood and i see the Black mesh stuff, fallen off the piping. so i go get the clamp (that was lying in the middle of the road) and tighten it back on. and while i do that, i tighten all of them. just a FYI for all you. TIGHTEN YOUR CLAMPS. ha i almost pooed my pants but im good now.

I don't think it's the shop's fault that installed your clutch, eventhought it may be. There have been multiple cases where other owners get the same result from driving normally. Everytime I take my car out, I wait for it to happen to me

I had that happen, except when i stopped giving it gas it would die. Start her back up, die. Checked the hoses, looked fine...i got the car to move and it died..i open the hood back up and the clamp to the Upipe was off and gone and the hose was barely contacting the manifold. Put another one on, retightened it, started car up, revved all the bad crap thatw as in there and it was fine.

Def tighten your clamps on the UPIPE.

goes to show to always keep a screwdriver in the car from now on in case of popped hoses. LOL
