3ed gear clink noise? any ideas?

Ok the car just started this or i just started noticing it. When shifting into 3ed gear for second it makes a clink noise. Its like i can hear the inside of the tranny in the car. It only does it when shifting for 2ed-3ed. And only while driving. As if the is drivline slack. But i would here that in all gears. Any ideas guys. It still drives the same but im just trying to be save. thanks

Ok i just took the car out again with the windows down, its very loud. I just get the car going to about 25mph and shift from 2-3ed. The sound is admited with the clutch disengaged. So its not the clutch. And it does not do it when i go from 3-2ed only 2-3ed. Gonna take it in monday and have them figure out what the deal is. Also does mitsu give rental cars if yours is under warenty? Mine has 1,400miles on it.

Yep all fixed. My dealership tech said he had seen it before and that it would go away at about 3,000miles. Sure enough at 3500 it went away, now have 8500 miles on it and have yet to hear it again. good luck

lol. I'm at 30,000 miles and it just started happening couple days ago. Can you tell me the name of the dealership. So that my dealership can call them up and ask some questions regarding the sound?
