Do not get one!!! We put one in friends turboed SE-R (SPEC Stage 2) and it did not do very well. See the pic in the link, it is not pretty: http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread.php?t=83474
I agree, dont buy Spec. We carried Spec clutchs at the old shop I worked at. We got a Stage 2 SR20DET clutch and we took the pressure plate to a local clutch shop and they put it on the clamp machine and it was the same pressure as a stock plate. Just had a nice pretty powdercoat job on it. And the kevlar disk with the kit requires high pressure to work properly. We didnt even install it, just sent it back and asked them about it. They got defensive as hell and said we were full of **** and to send them all their **** back, so we did.
We also put a Stage 4 in a talon to replace the worn out ACT 2600 6 puck and it went up in smoke immediatly. The pedal pressure felt LIGHTER than stock. Spec said drive it 500 miles and it would get heavier, as if the diagram is going to magicly change. Of course it never did.

so in your IHMO will a ACT or a clutchmaster be reliable for street drivability & occassional drags?
Id say go with ACT, thats what we use. They have been around for a long time, and have a good idea of how to build a clutch. Sure you will hear stories about clutch failures, but think about the failure rate of clutchs in modified cars. Hell people have problems with $2000 clutch setups.
Stick with the reputable clutch companies that sell REAL modified high pressure plates and good quality disks. There are tons of cheap clutch companies out there that will paint a stock $40 dollar plate up and throw a six puck in the box and call it their stage 4 (200% holding capacity over stock).
ACT over clutchmasters just from personal experience. Do NOT get a clutchmasters EVO flywheel. The bolts they supply are too long and bottom out in the crank and the stock bolts only catch 2-3 threads in the crank with the thicker area in the center of the alluminum flywheel. We called Clutchmasters and their advice was to just cut the bolts. I had to charge a customer almost another hour labor for cutting and rethreading 7 hardened steel flywheel bolts because they brought their own Clutchmasters stuff in to be installed. Thats why we like to stick to installing the products we sell. We pick them for a reason, to avoid problems like that.

I am not sure what your mod plans are but this may be a nice option if you want to stay stock looking that meets the daily and occasional drag criteria:

i agree as well! we had to install a spec clutch in an audi s4 at our shop twice! the first one went bad after 4 days and the other one is not looking too good either..
for a very solid upgrade go with RPS or ACT... i run RPS and it's a very very nice feeling clutch and it's strong! 2900lbs pressure plate that grabs and holds awesome!.. i drive it every day and it is great in traffic and for racing.
