Pistons To Hold 550+whp

Hi!!! I just bought a new set of CP pistons. What do you guys have heard from this pistons. What pistons and compression ratio do you recomend for 30+ psi of boost.

Whatever pistons you have, I would recommend having Swain Tech coat them.

dido on the coating...

i like arias/weisco/je pistons, pauter/oliver rods... though je's can be heavy.

Yup i would coat them also. I was going to get the CP but ended up with the Ross for some little reasons. I think the CP you probably got are 9:1 which is kind of high but you will have great off boost power. I would go with 8:5:1 with coating and you should be able to push as much boost as you want.

Oh ya if you did get the 9:1 dont worry just get the thickest head gasket you can to lower it and you should be fine. Just my 0.02

Stock would do it, its the rods you need to worry about @ that power.

Stock is far from being ok. The stock pistons have silcone in them which is like glass. The reason they do this is to keep the engine noise down. So per chance there is detenation they will explode very easily. Trust me i know..LOL..
