Knowing when to switch to standalone EMS

So you can bolt it on and have the designers tune in place to run it? I don't think that there is any discrepancy in the idea that the track and dyno are not the same. What does hold true is that if both cars are dynoed, never change a thing to either car, and both go to the track, the same results will exist. You are heading towards apples to oranges.
Dyno numbers never tell the whole story. Without a good stock baseline dyno chart of each car, you don't know how much power was gained from the tuning package. I think we've all seen how some stock cars dyno real well compared to others.

I know it's not the same car but a stock EVO dynoed 215 in this dyno. Also, I never claimed that my argument was the end all be all of tuning conclusion. I was simply trying to relate my experience to one person regarding one comment. I know all the philosophy regarding the scientific method, closed environments, fewer variables, etc. But I still maintain that you have to make the best of what's around. This is the best test I have seen yet. Also, the 25th/26th we are having a South Central US EVO Meet. We will be dynoing two days of Evos. This should give an even larger sample and more mod combos. So be patient.
