Check your oil level. Lifters usually tick more if you're low on oil.

thanks alot guys!!!! Now I can sleep better at night thinking my car is OK. I thought there was some kind of major internal problem w/ the engine. At 1st I thought it had something to do w/ my spark plugs or plug wires. removed the wires & did the same thing.

I was able to talk to a local mechanic & he told me its the AUTOMATIC LASH ADJUSTER? he said that happens when air is caught inside the whatever that was... he said it just needs bleeding.
He's no evo mechanic, just a regular mechanic.
I told him it started happening after my change oil using a 15w-50. I used to use a 5w40 & never had any problems. isnt 15w50 for HOT climate countries?

I used this oil coz I couldnt find any other fully synthetic oil in my area. i really wanted to use mobil1 10w 30. can i use 5w30 or 0w30? what are the differences between these viscosities? the higher the oil viscosity the thinner the oil, right?

This what i found out, when I start the car after 2 min. it starts that sound, until 5 min later its still noticeable. After drving the car, its gone. wouldnt it be bad for the engine if you're driving it w/ the oil not being able to lubricate that area?

I checked my oil level. when cold, it right about on the MAX line. thats how you check your correct oil level, right? when engine is hot its about in between MIN & MAX.

The higher the viscosity number, the thicker the oil is. 5W30 viscosity means that at cold temperatures, the oil is at 5W and becomes a max of 30W when warm.
