I have on and off a couple of times... currently off for about a month. I've always let it turn off by itself, to make sure I wasn't masking a potentially worse problem. I am going to get the O2 sim, though... it seems to be the thing to do

This is my plan if the code comes back.

It's a mechanical solution to the SES light. It basically moves the O2 sensor tip "up" so it "sees" less of the exhaust stream and doesn't trigger the cel. Pretty ingenious! The trick involves getting the appropriate sized anti fouler thingy, and threading the o2 sensor into that. There is a recent thread on this. I believe it was inspired by a mechanical solution that a vendor uses with their test pipes...

Take care,

This information isn't quite right. The ECU is much more adaptive than you are giving it credit for. While I was custom tuning an Evo this weekend with an SAFCII, it threw a P0300 (has been since it was new). I did a reset, and the car went pig rich on the first run. The immediate next run after that, the ECU had already adapted and made identical power to the run prior to the reset.

This particular car was a Buschur Stage 2, and made awesome power for its level of mods.

I have been throwing the same code to from Buschur 3" exhaust. Jim Buschur says the cat is way to free flowing. The sensor thinks it is a bad cat. Sent me an o2 simulator to solve the problem. Haven't put it on yet, but will let you guys know if it fixes the problem.

**UPDATE**

Just got the Buschur O2 simulator installed and it appears to be working properly (blinking red) Since buschur racing didn't give me a long enough grounding wire and I wasn't about to drill into the floor board, I had to go and get some extra wire and lengthen the grounding wire. I grounded it to a screw on the hand brake under the armrest cover where something else is also grounded. Tucked the wires back in under the carpet leaving the O2 simulator standing out so I can see it under the seat. I sure hope that damn SES light doesn't comes back on in the next 200 miles or so. Wish me luck. I'll post back later after I test it out.
