My personal recomedation is the ACT/Fidenza setup, it feels a sooo much better than stock. Ive heard from mitsu dealers that the excedy twin setup has caused probs due to the fact that they use the stock throwout bearing so id avoid that. People on this forum like them alot but id rather be careful if your worried about warranty. The ACT is great and that setup wil prob cost less including install than putting in a stock clutch. But if your clutch goes before 12k, u do have a warrantable argument, depends on the dealer. Either way save ur $$$

I can almost 2nd that. The Mitsu dealership in jacksonville has been very kind to me and hasnt complained about anything I have asked them to do.

Doesnt sound good to me but if thats the deal id like to start saving my $$ now! thanks!

I have 30K on the stock clutch, I run it at least once a month with my local SCCA group, and I drive it like it was intended to be driven. I do have a tranny problem, It will be getting replaced under warranty.

My clutch and flywheel were both replaced as a "one time goodwill gesture".

Totally agree, the way it should have come.. I did mine this weekend. Stock clutch lasted for 28k. Which is very low for what I normally get out of a clutch, but I never got used to driving with that vague feeling thing, and it also saw some abuse, so I don't think there was ever anything wrong with mine.

Now I just need to figure out why the hell it is running rich!!

i got a used one for sale with 10k in perfect working order. i bought a swap for the motor and i have an MR and i really have no use for the tranny

other than that, my clutch in the 03 evo i had started slipping at 2000 miles, but i got rid of it with 2800 miles and got an MR before i replaced the clutch. i really didn't have that much done to it and what i did have done should not have been stressing the clutch. knock on wood no tranny problems yet but if/when i do hopefully they won't screw me. but then again since i am pulling the motor for a built one at 500 miles they would probably laugh at me anyway

I'm in. My clutch just died at 19K miles. I don't race or track the car. I take excellent care of it and never abuse it. I know warranty is 12 mo/12K miles, but this is just plain wrong. The dealership told me the won't help me, but good luck anyway. So much for "The best backed cars in America."
