Mitsubishi quotes 9.5 HOURS for brakes and lines
that's something else... way too long... negotiate with them if you absolutely can't do it yourself...
on a side note, noticed SCC mag changed pads without touching a thing and using the old pads to push the pistons in... said they learned it from mitsu reps... lol... if that's the case, they're commiting rape without lube or a reach around...

Go to a private repair shop. I have a friend who did his own brake lines on his Mustang. How hard can it be? One of the lines was not installed correctly & all the fluid leaked out. He discovered this at 120 mph at the end of the straight stretch at Putnam Park race track. He went about 1/2 mile through an open field before coasting to a stop. Altho he never hit anything it was the thrill of a life time.
I would never pay that much to change pads on the Evo. It takes me about 30mins to do the front and 30 mins to do the back. It actually takes longer to jack up the car than remove the pads.
It took them 6 hours to do mine, but really it's because the shop was so busy, they were jumping from one project to another.
$210 pads change and rotors turn.
You're getting ripped off.
Just Brakes will do this for $140 and brake work, as far as changing pads go, should be a flat rate and not hourly.
