Damn 10,000 miles on a set of tires on normal driving what do you only get 20,000 miles out of the clutch? I dont think theres going to be any warranty honoring because the dealer could easaly turn you down for warranty service and say you have been beating on the car...
Im running nearly 275HP @ flywheel and my RE92's that came on the car when I bought it in June 2001 still have alot of treadlife.

Interesting Info 'Mr. DSM'.

This is going to make it a tough choice on which car for next year.

would bring more that 5000 if demand is higher? wouldn't they want to make more money? i really don't want to pay more than 30k (or over msrp).

On the other hand, an exclusive car attracts a lot of attention as well. It could help to boost sales during the next run after everyone who missed out is drooling over it. No telling what they're thinking.

Haha which brings up a good point that I've seen with the WRX... have you seen how many of them are for sale right now in the used car market? Many people bought the car, and then they realize they cannot afford the payments once the insurance bill comes in... Teenager/young 20-somethings are paying about $2K+/year just for insurance on it.

Once reality sets in, they cannot afford it and there's pleny of the cars available for sale right now...

The 1st year of the WRX, they projected 10K cars, then they upped it to 12K and then 1/2 way through the year, upped it to 18K cars. If the EVO has the production capability and the car sells well early on, I see no reason why they won't up the productiion numbers.

So the year after, you'll see many of the EVO's for sale, both used and new.

yea but i dont think mitsu is going to change the way they make evos just because its being released over here, i think they'll still stick to the "make a specific number of them then move one to the next evo"

10,000 miles on a set of tires isn't that bad at all. I went through a set to Goodyear GSCs in under 7,000 when I had my mustang cobra. my advice: get a second set of wheels for everyday use, and swap out the ones with stick rubber for auto-x, road racing (unless you have a 3rd set for that ) and spirited weekend driving. You will probably save money over the long haul with 2 sets of wheels....

It sure will! At least next year I might get a better ride than just a WRX

Good to see you here too!
