Is it possible to get power door locks on an RS? I know it's not offered as a dealer option, but I read above that someone had gotten it installed. My concern is security. Won't the RS be easy for someone to steal because it doesn't have power locks, and thus no security at all?

Bump...how many of you guys have installed a stereo in the lower dim? Do you need any parts other than the black plastic spacers and 4 screws?

yes, it's possible. I'm installing them now, have Blackwidow pwrlock wiring and keyless entry remote. I'm testing the wire setup now. I got the remote actuating the locks just need to mount the pwr acutator motors onto the doors. Check etronics.com for generic car pwr locks. I think I paid under 100 for all, it's all labor that's expensive.

You'll have to strip away the plastic covering of the stock locking wires and then attach the rods from actuators to the wires via bolts.

Takes little mechanical and wiring tweaks but don't look that bad. Only factory wire thats needed to the pwr lock package is +12v and ground and maybe Dome light trigger as option.

As far as security, it's same as other evos. We're all exposed to vendals and haters. They'll breakin to any car regardless of alarms but will be difficult to drive away w/o factory issued keys w/ embedded electronic chip that comes with evos including our RS!

You'll need factory "relocation kit", $70 from dealer. Then just route the wires down there. Rest is same as other cars. I have HU down there and guages at top bin, for now...

Doesn't the RS already have the relocation kit installed on the lower dim? I have an '05 RS.

They (RS) come with a center console, but the console itself does not have an armrest in the center like the VIII does. RS just has a cubby hole there on top.
