hey bud this will tickle your nuts, click on the click here part.. see the black evo gsr 03? and the 05 MR white.. there both in my fam, I used to own the black one but turned her over to my dad.
2nd I didnt clame the MR is better at all, people just ask all the time about numbers, so I thought I would post them.
so in short I must be flameing myself because not only am I an MR owner im an 03 GSR owner too.

the only thing that will make me get an MR over any other evo is the rarity factor.. but you can make an 03/04 and such faster then an MR and spending far less more money then one would on an mr.. you just seem to be lucky enough to get it for 35k nothing more... lots say they see dealers selling them for 40k... but hey i'm not gonna flame you. i love the car.. ... have fun with it

I love my new MR perticularly since I was sick of my modded '03 GSR. I say if you got the cash, there is nothing wrong with trading up to an MR.....
thank you maneul (sorry if I butchered your name) you have a great way with words and I couldnt agree with you more, geez I didnt mean to prove anything when saying is the MR worth it (meaning I wasnt trying to say other evos are not) I just wanted to show some numbers to people. Its funny how everyone will blow up so easy. To me the extra 5 grand was more than easy to cough up, I think it is worth every penny, I love my MR better than my old 03 (if I didnt like the MR I wouldnt have bought it.), which im sure you feel the same way.?.
and yes I was lucky to get it right at 35k.

If money wasn't a concern then yea MR all the way but the regular GSR is the best bang for the buck as far as I'm concerned. Reflash by dynoflash ~200 bucks will make up the power difference and tack on a TBE with that and your ganna be beatin the MR with about 1000 bucks worth of addons vs 5-7k more for the MR
No doubt! Other than the price.. the 6speed has been about the only thing keeping me from considering the MR.

JIC-FLTA2 suspension from RRE - $2150
Front Quaife LSD - $1350
Vortex generator - $200
Volk Racing CE28N 17x8 - $1700
Total - $5400
Yes, you don't have the 6 speed tranny or aluminum roof but you have superior suspension and wheels and less weight and yes you do have warranty on those parts and taking into account you left everything else stock, with the above setup you'll be just as fast as the MR if not faster around road course.
I see this post completely the opposite than most others. I see MR owners trying to justify spending more money on their MR not 03 owners trying to prove something else.

im think im just gonna have to take my chances and buy and 05 GSR and usr that extra money to do stuff too it... i dont think the 6-speed is gonna make it that much faster except help it with gas milage
