Mostly "ricer" cars leave me alone. The people who try to "race" me around here are pseudo-lux cars like mid level BMWs (328, 330, etc.) Lexuses, and crap like that, and for some reason SUVs. I think all those damned commercials are getting to them - they think 300hp in a 6000 pound truck is something special. Anyway, I mostly ignore them, but occasionally I'll open it up just for a second to remind them they're piloting a glorified School Bus

I have the same problem, mostly vettes and BMW's try and race me. Never any ricer's. I am not a fan of street racing anyways, but when they constantly dog you, sometimes you must leave them eating their rice.

I did have a new vette come up on me on a roll and rev it, i was like WTF just hit. I acted like i didnt want to race and then quickly downshifted and took off, it took him a second to catch up, but when he went by it sounded like his f****ing engine was coming out of the hood, i was pretty amazed. Evo from a roll kind of sucks i have read and noticed.

On the German Autobahn one of the largest fines you can get is for blocking the fast lane. The reason it is safe to speed on the Autobahn is because people respect eachother and stay out of others way. What is the point of trying to block someone that is driving faster than you. This is also the cause for much of the traffic congestion on the roads as it, obviously, slows the flow of traffic. I'm sorry but this is my biggest pet peev(no idea hot to spell that) when driving.
I guess I wasn't clear enough on the situation. The speed limit was 65 and I was doing 80 in the fast lane. He pulled up three foot off my bumper while I was going by an 18 wheeler. I'm all about staying out of the fast lane if I am driving slow because that is one of my pet peeves also, but I was doing 15 over the limit. When some moron rides my *** for no reason, I am gonna go out of my way to **** him off. I tried to get him to pull over so I could get out of my car and pummel his ***, but it was to no avail.

no rice ever tries to race me either, go figure. they usually just drive next to me and stare, or try to follow me (without really trying to pass and not riding my ***) through traffic. it's the same thing when i drive my integra. it's lowered but doesn't have any decor, still rides on steelies with caps (i guess that's why). the cars that are actually fast don't try to race me either (vettes, WS6 etc..). so the only time someone seems to be asking for a humiliation are the mid-upper level lux cars and suv's just like some of you guys mentioned. i live in south NJ (mostly rich peeps in the area) and drive mostly on turnpike, maybe that's why?

I do a lot of driving with my evo and one of my pet peeves is people riding slow in the left lane, I don't care if your doing 120 if someone is on your *** its your responsablity to move the f*ck over! Now that being said I also hate when people have to pass on the right, either cause they're dumb or they have to go around the asshat in the left lane that won't move over... I could go one and one with this one trust me.

I get people trying to race me all the time, 99% of the time I go about my business cause I have nothing to prove to anyone.

Deliberately trying to **** other drivers off only makes the situation worse. I don't care how badass you think you are this is not a good idea. Just get out of his way. As far as getting him to pull over, where do you think this would have led besides the hospital and court. I knew a kid who had his whole life ahead of him until he pulled over b/c of some hothead and now his *** hurts and his view sucks from jail. He "accidentally" killed the guy with a tire iron. He threw it at the guy.

Hey, I'm in the OP/Leawood area of KS.
No one has tried to race me yet in the MR. An SRT-4 revved a little at a light but he didn't seem to be trying to race once it turned green.

Maybe it's because my windows are not tinted yet or something? Probably removes some of the inpersonal nature of communicating with someone in a car.

Sometimes we need to control our own egos because the car we drive could give us the illusion that we are better than others. IMHO

The best thing to do is to get out of the jackhole's way, and then hope he crashes up ahead. that way you can make fun of him as he is wrapped around a tree.

Some ricer civic blow past me on the street and then turn on his hazard light. He must think he beat me. He then let go the gas slowing down waiting to get by my side and speed up again. He repeatly did this for like 4 times before I trun away.

oh well.. no reason to waste your time on them.

I had my wife in the car. I know part of that is my fault but I'm sick of every one of Jerry's Kids driving a Geo Storm with a 4 inch tailpipe blowing by me doing 90 or riding my *** for no reason. Does everyone have this problem or is it just me? Nobody even acknowleged me when I was in my Trans Am, now everyone's got beef with me and my MR.

you will find a lot of haters when you drive that car. Dont give in to them. The Evo is well known now with it being on the cover of every car magazine and tons of wright ups. I got the same results when I had my A4 quattro back in 2000. Now with the Evo I just ignor them
