That hasn't been my experience so far. I used heavier stainless bolts, nuts and washers and NOT the plastic screw/clips from the factory under-tray WITHOUT the rods and mine has been fine over 80.
I'm sure if you move it in the rods won't work but given that there will be less downforce on the pslitter because less of it is exposed I'm sure you'll need the rods even less.

LOL, sory for the delay in replies, been busy. Yeah it looks like the plastice screws were not strong enough. O well I will have to get another one and do the sime fro the sideskirts.
