You can re-drill the holes but moving it in reduces the effectiveness of it. The mounts are really flimsy it needs additional support if you'll be going over 80

That hasn't been my experience so far. I used heavier stainless bolts, nuts and washers and NOT the plastic screw/clips from the factory under-tray WITHOUT the rods and mine has been fine over 80.

I'm sure if you move it in the rods won't work but given that there will be less downforce on the pslitter because less of it is exposed I'm sure you'll need the rods even less.

Does the bumper need to be taken off to install the splitter?

Or can you install it with the bumper on?

THanks!

Nope the bumper stays on. You only remove the plastic undertray.

I found that you have to tkae the bumper off, since there was no way I could screw the nuts on the bolts that hold it to the front bumper. there may be a way to do it without taking the bumper off, it would be a pain in the ***. I hope this helps, and make sure to use washers, as that turned out to be the real reason the splitter fell off.....I am still looking for another cheap used one....any1 know where i can get one, pm me details.
