Auto Lock.. and Light Turn off Features.. So Great
Noticed that if my car is unlocked and I wait 30 Seconds it automatically locks the doors for me.. Funny thing is, my friends Evo doesnt do this. Also my Xenon lights turn off if ive left them on... im pretty sure thats common, but how about my doors locking.. Is there a way to turn this on and off.??

What year and trim is your Evo, and is your friend's Evo the same?
There may be adjustments in the ECU for features like these (lights/locks/delays), I know there are in my car. You can ask your dealer.

Mine is on '03, but it only automatically locks the doors if I have unlocked the doors, but don't open any door for 30 seconds. Anyone know how to make the doors auto-lock? Also, can they auto-lock after you've been driving a while? I like to keep my doors locked while I'm driving to keep safe from the haters.
My 03 does it too...My 00 Eclipse did it too..was always afraid of leaving my keys inside and getting locked out at the gas station...lol I don't know if you can turn the autolocks off, there are a few adjustments u can do like make the lights not flash when ya lock or unlock it, but that's in the owner's manual.
The headlights are programed to turn off after 3 min if left on with the car off or if ya turn the car off and leave the lights on, they turn off when ya open the door.
Am I the only geek who read the owner's manual???? lol

1) Turn off car, get out (with key in hand hopefully), and close the door.
2) Walk away
3) Doors lock automatically?
If that's true, there *must* be a way to reprogram an '03 to do that.
Do your doors lock automatically when you start driving?
my doors don't lock auto matically when drivin. Teh only way the lock themselves is when I use the Keyless entry and don't open the door. Then 30 seconds later the lock by themselves.
to have a cool *** feature and do it half-assed with no instructions...
