Mitsubishi should offer a line of cars that require nothing more than a plastics makeover, and a bit higher quality control, and call it a neat name like the "Beyond" or something, and follow suit of what other companies have done like Infiniti, Acura, and such. A line of "name-brand" performance parts would be a great thing to have like the Ralliart stuff.

Also, I think Mitsu. could trail on the tails of the AWD revolution and really push it like Subie did a few years ago. There are so many people I talk too that would love an AWD if a salesman would just have the knowledge to help people realize the potential benefits of an AWD system. Also ... with the slight diff. in AWD design, and maint. I'm sure many sales could happen with techs. that would take care of AWD systems. You have an AWD in for a 15k mile mandatory 'fluid' change, and you get the person to perform much more preventative maintainance service anyways. Then you get those 150k+ mile cars and your reputation goes up.

I love my dealership, they treat me so well. I'm also glad they're diversifying so that hopefully they can keep their Mitsu. line.

i think they are gonna pull thru no problem, like Nissan or Ford, ...bump in the road,...evo is awesome, galant has best crash rating, endeavour one of the most reliable SUV's...they gotta spice up their marketing a bit and voila...they won a butt load of awards for the new colt in europe. China markets are on the rise, east europe on the rise....new eclipse is way cool. WRC results 3rd, 9 manufac. points ( http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com/mot.../mc/index.html ) so they'll be alright...oh yeah .02 cents.

I think Mitsu is on track for a recovery, they already have great product. But we have to start selling what we have now and bolster it with new product and great presentation and advertising - and make a great foundation before something like a luxury brand could be built. And even then, I don't think I'd ever want to see that happen. Mitsubishi's new return to their "DNA" will be to making technologically advanced vehicles including all conquering sports cars and durable tenacious SUV's that follow suit with all the awards the Evo and Montero have won them. Leave the fluff to the Lexus and Infiniti guys, our brand within a brand is Ralliart and that could be reserved for the most elite of products. We also already have quality and safety, people just don't know about it - what's needed is something to stand out from the crowd - Mitsubishi should be about innovation under the three diamond logo that is older then any Japanese brand around.

The problem Mitsubishi has stems from its crappy product line. Outside the EVO mitsubishi has not produced any car worth buying since the 99 eclipse GSX. Its SUV's are underpowered, Its cars are UGLY w/ cheap interiors, and it seems like they are spending their R&D Budget hallucinogenic drugs.

If they want to save their company they need to build on the success of the EVO and build cars that are exciting to drive. just my .02

The customer service sucked and my car was constantly at the dealership because the retards who worked there didn't know how to fix it but yet you can talk to my dad who thinks that Honda is the greatest car out there, yet he went and bought a Toyota.

I worked for Mitsu. Yes, Mitsu is facing financial problems because of the whole 0,0,0 thing but that was the result of a retard CEO that was running the company. I lost my job because they had to cut back. My husband and I both drive Lancer Ralliarts and we also have an Evo. We love the vehicles and have had no problems. Mitsu is slowly trying to make its comeback. They are bringing out the new designed 06 Eclipse in May/June and the all new Raider truck in fall. The Evo IX will be slightly redesigned.

Personally, I think if you are getting crappy service its the dealerships fault, not entirely Mitsu's. Have any of you tried calling customer relations?
I am sorry to hear that you lost your job, That really sucks. But in all fairness Mitsubishi is responsible for its dealers. They choose who they lisence their name to. The reason there is so much animosity towards Mitsu is because of how they have treated their customers. Most of us have talked to customer relations but have all gotten the same ignorant reactions. they sent us to a district rep who went above and beyond to deny warranties. The clutch on the Evo is crap, there is no two ways about it. As I am sure you know the President and his top mangament in Japan were arrested for their conduct. They were denying warrantable claims to pocket cash. Mitsu's Fusco truck had serious clutch problems that were denied and ended up casuing someones death. Yes that sucks that is happened, but it wouldnt have if they were a responisble company. That is what caused the slide. The CEO 0.0.0. event was basically begging people to overlook what they had done. It wasnt his fault, but it did place Mitsu in between a rock and a hard place. They are tying to bring back the company under new mangment but it is no easy task...Sorry just my 2cents....

^^what he said. follow nissans blueprints for making a comeback. simplify things. take what's good and extend it to all your cars and for gods sake fire your exterior design team and come up with some new designs. Imagine if the Evo was as sexy as the G35?
