Who cares, maybe the families whos lives depend on a mitsu job? Forget them if your car resale goes up? Wow what a world we live in.

For what it's worth, my 03 Eclipse GTS has given me 54,000 trouble-free miles. Of course, I maintain it religiously. The only thing wrong with with the car is the paint job, which is beginning to oxydize on the roof and the hood. Fresno Mitsubishi has graciously agreed to repaint it for free. I've received nothing but first-class customer service from them. I guess it really does depend on the individual dealership. And I have every intention of remaining a loyal Mitsubishi customer.

I agree with "it depends on which individual dealership you goto." I just wish so many of them were so rude to customers for warranty claims.

My statement was in regards to mitsubishi as a company not the people that work for them.... I guess you can say it this way to. Who cares about the people that support their product and buy their cars with the money they worked hard to earn.

That's not an Evo.

People who work for them are the company.

Yes true without the employees they would have nothing. But without us what would they have? The car owner is what pays their bills. When they treat us like garbage how do you expect us to feel and how much support can we give? Also the people that work for the company are a part of the company, a company is a team and there is no "I" in team. Just to clear things up. What I mean by "who cares" is most people were worried about warranty work service and such. Not who cares if Mitsubishi exployees don't have a job and can't put food on the table.

I'm still "evolving". There is a 100% probability that I will own an Evo within the next three years, at which point I will have "evolved". I don't expect that I will have problems with the Evo either, since I generally drive like a grandmother (most of the time, anyhow).

Until you pull up in the service dept. with an Evo I don't really think you can truly understand what we mean. I bet it does depend on the dealership, and also if the car is modded, appears modded, or sounds modded.

No probelmo, it just sounded harsh. I agree with us being the life blood. I think they need a customer service class! This would help mitsu so much.

that right there hurt them bad, just due to the fact that so many people after not paying anything for a year on their car, got hit with full monthly payments on the car after 1 year, when the car's value = crap. so what did the peeps do? just let them all get repod, which mitsubishi lost about $15k per car on this...

anyone else heard that? someone from a dealership told me this was a big reason for them getting into so much debt
Yep This was the begining of the down hill run. It was the stupidest marketing program in the history of the car business.

Mitsu is not going to go out of business. They are being so dumb asses and that is true. I remember when I sold cars for Volvo. It took them about 5 years just enough not to go out of business in US. in 2001 they came out with a new line of cars. After they made a few sales they started to make better advertisment. Their quality was always good but their product was never advertised well. Also when I owned my Volvo, All I did is put a Cat Back Exhaust, and air filter and those idiots voided my whole cars warranty. Man I maid out of my A$$ to get that car fixed when it went bad. I had to make special financing just for reapairs. Hahaha What a joke, but they got better. They started to let poeple do minor modds to the cars and they won't say anything. Their sales are going crazy now...

Well what will happen to Mitsu, they will get better it's just down time that they are going through. I still have connections to the dealer Manager and I had luch with him the other day. I asked him what going on with Mitsu. He told me that they got help from their Mother Co. from Japan. Plus they have 3 or 4 new models coming out. They will really rock the world I hope with the new Elipse. That car looks awesome and it will perform very good. It will be a very fast car....

I also asked him about Warranty...... He told me that, there are customers coming in complaining about their cars. These customers are very young between 18-23 years. Some of them don't know how to drive that well, them on top of that they modd the cars crazy style and then they break **** in them. Then they come to the dealer and make a big fhuss... Now come on.... I know some dealers are really stupid and some of the managers should be fired, but I suggest for people who want to modd these cars to be alittle smart too.
1st - thing you should do, is find the dealer you want to service your car at.
2nd - have a meeting with the dealer service manager. tell him what you are planning on doing to your car. See what he has to say. try to reason with him. Tell him, man look if my parts that I put on the car will cause other things to break then you can hold me liable, but if it is not caused by the parts I put on then back me up. Also explain to him and try to prove to them that the parts that you will put on the car will make the car better and last longer. Try it guys like this you have nothing to loose.

So don't worry about Mitsu going out of business, they will not allow for that to happen. It's just a slow time for them right now, but things will pick up..

Enjoy these crazy A$$ Evo, there is no other car like it.
very well put

Yes, the 0,0,0 was what brought Mitsu down. It was actually Mitsubishi Motor Credits fault, but the entire company took the hit. It caused just about $1 billion in losses. From a result of that I was laid off from my job at Mitsu's NE Regional office.

I find it quite funny that all these people are bashing Mitsu but yet they drive one. Everyone has their opinion on cars and whats good and whats not and customer service issues. I owned a Honda Accord and that was by far the worst vehicle I've ever owned in my life. The customer service sucked and my car was constantly at the dealership because the retards who worked there didn't know how to fix it but yet you can talk to my dad who thinks that Honda is the greatest car out there, yet he went and bought a Toyota.

I worked for Mitsu. Yes, Mitsu is facing financial problems because of the whole 0,0,0 thing but that was the result of a retard CEO that was running the company. I lost my job because they had to cut back. My husband and I both drive Lancer Ralliarts and we also have an Evo. We love the vehicles and have had no problems. Mitsu is slowly trying to make its comeback. They are bringing out the new designed 06 Eclipse in May/June and the all new Raider truck in fall. The Evo IX will be slightly redesigned.

Personally, I think if you are getting crappy service its the dealerships fault, not entirely Mitsu's. Have any of you tried calling customer relations?
