I took an exit ramp that was posted @ 30mph @ about 88mph. If I didnt know to keep my foot on the Gas a little bit i would of slide off the road. I kinda drifted 1/2 way around the turn then caught traction. EVO IS A BEAT!

haha, yup, I pulled one of these gems about a week after I got the car. There are some seldom used back roads, pretty close to where I live, that are nice and wide, and very curvy. I have driven these roads countless times before at damn quick speeds, but have always managed to stay in control. Well being the micheal schumaker that I am I decide to go bonzai(sp) through a certain section. Well I made it through the first two bends which are pretty fast, but got lucky as hell to make it through the third.

After the first two turns the road tightens down considerably, and I was coming in way too hot. So what did I do, like a dumbass I lifted. Yes I KNOW not to do this. Hell I have been autoxing for years now, and I have some considerable track time as well, but for some reason I made a big boo-boo. When I lifted, all hell broke loose, and I was LUCKY to not crash. I agree with those who say the evo is a forgiving car. But make no mistake about it, the evo WILL and can bite you in the *** if you screw up. This car is so fast through some of these bends that you really have to be on your game to stay on top of the car. I felt the same way at my first autox with the evo, the car was so fast that my mind was still about a sec or two behind the car

But back to the end of the story. Needless to say after about wading my car up on the backroad, I take things at a little slower pace. Not too slow, but lets just say with more respect. I really think some kinda driving school should be a reasonably priced option with the car. Something you can add to the total purchase price of the car. Getting to feel what this car is capable of, and the speeds at which it can slice and dice would be a real eye opener for some folks. I have a good amount of track time, and still was over my head with this car and am only now finally getting "used" to the speed. The experience of what it feels like to drive at high speeds in a controled enviroment would be priceless, and probably save someone's *** one day.

Rear end comes out easier than I expected. I am learning the ACD in the rain we've been getting in Cali for the past few weeks. The gravel setting will still get the rear end out, but I can feel the front pulling it straight under power.

I have had to modulated the throttle slightly on long off ramps. The weight shift can get you into trouble if you take your foot off the go pedal. If you're not used to modulating throttle with your right foot then be careful. I couldn't imagine what things would be like with less than stock grip tires
