Well, if I'm not mistaken, that is what the USDM is "supposed" to look like (they are rumors of course)

 

Um, look closely, the centerpiece has been photoshopped away. Yes, I do agree that it looks better that way, but I'll still be happy either way.

No, the chop's quite good actually. You could always cut the bumper piece and have a body shop fill in the huge triangular gap atop the bumper if you wanted. I'm assuming aftermarket body kits for the US Evolution will eliminate that. At least it's going to be part of the bumper for you guys and not part of the hood. What a PITA for us to get an open grille like that.

 

Yeah, the missing centerpiece does indeed look much better than if it was there.
