i noticed my biggest improvement when i went with larger injectors... although you are stock, i would say a Dynoflash or some type of engine management is needed....

mine is still o.k. w/ 1500 miles on it and i drive it hard. maybe it's the gas. i am currently using toluene, xylene, and even 100 octane to blend into my fuel(92 octane), to get about 93.5 octane, i have tried all and the best so far is the toluene. i notice that if i run straight 92 octane though, the car follows a different map and the boost is not as consistant.
try adding some 100 octane, or if you live in cold weather, it could be methanol in gas that slowing your car down.

the only probs w/ my 05 so far is i keep bouncing off the rev limiter in 4th gear, cause i'm not paying attention when driving really fast.(about 110 mph), i better stop it before i break something!. also, the motor is a little noisy.(clatter). but otherwise, when using more than 93 octane, she runs like a champ!

actually, now that you mention it, it was @ around 500 miles, that is started to get used to the speed of the evo. when i first got it, i had to use 2 hands when driving under boost. I thought that the car was getting slower @ around 500 miles, but then i realized, that i was just getting used to the power!

i think so too......cuz when i hit about 500....i had that exact feelin....and it was like right away....like i lost power or somethin.....

but when i'm driving now...it does seem as though it pulls hard...but man....when i see other cars fly by when i just add a little throttle....i know it's still fast....

i'll probably check my ic pipes as well...haven't done that yet.....

lol all these crazy answers in the first couple posts about check this replace that...ur just gettin used to the power..happens to everyone I think until you start modding. i was a nervous wreck after a few hundred miles about whats wrong with my car why is it getting slower is something wrong...but other than making sure all ur clamps are tight I'm 99% positive you're just getting used to the power (which is a good and bad thing) go drive a slow car then get back in yours and trust me you will feel the difference after I drive my girlfriends bmw 3 series and get back in my evo u feel that power again for at least another week as if the car were new

Heh =) I went through the same thing as well. I even went so far as to take it to a Mitsu dealership and the mechanic took me for a drive... needless to say he was flying down a sidestreet @ 90mph and smiled at me and said that I was just use to the power and everything is running just fine!

I'm in love with my car.
