Don't bother trading. You will get whacked on the trade. They'll charge you too much for the 05 and clip your trade. I've been selling cars for a long time and Mitsu's do not have a high trade-in value.

 

I bought an 05 'standard' Evp rather then a new 04 but I wouldn't trade in an 03 on an 05 if I owned an 03. I'd just drive and enjoy the 03. Manufacturers are always going to add improvements too their cars and 'trading up' is a never ending and very expensive game - way too expensive for me to play.

If the EVO 9 has a MIVEC turbo engine, along w/ all the features of the current MR, that will definitely be worth trading up for!

look to sell ur 03 to private for a good price then go get 05 basic @invoice then u may add HID bulb later for cheap( go aftermarket, not sure how much but guez wont be that much)- hopefully the price difference won't be that much that u have to pay way too much for ur monthly

The EVOs that come with halogen headlights use halogen projectors. The beam pattern will be different and weaker. If you go w/ aftermarket HIDs, make sure you get OEM HID projectors.

I was thinking about the same trade, but when I drove the MR, I didn't think it was worth the money I'd be loosing. The MR is a nice car, but I could put the money into my 03 and have a supercar fighter....
