Not 100% tru. There was a dealer here in Indiana that was very great.
I went to Family Mitsu, for an 02 OZ + tinting, and sun roof it was going to be 22k ( br tax title... etc.)
when i went to collins mitsu, the 03 OZ with sunroof was 16K ( after taxes... i forget the before price...) We went to buy the car on Friday. We called the guy and told him we were comming. The guys in back who were sopost to clean it were not at work ( sick, vac or sumthing... idk ) he took the car and cleaned it himself... We test drive it with 3 miles on it, but an extra 5 on there. so we bought it with 8 miles. Then they were bought out by Ray Skillman mitsu, ray skillman keeps sending those, WE WANT TO BUY YOU 2003 LANCER OZ RALLY things in the mail... Before they sold that was prolly one of the better mitsu dealers i've been to. Family mitsu is just overpriced, but i've never been treated as badly as i've read above....

Sorry to get off topic, but there was... WAS, atleast one good mitsu dealer. BTW when u bought the car how many miles were on it?

Really sorry to hear about your troubles. I can't believe how bad the QC is at Mitsu.

At least I know I'm never going back to a Mitsu product again...no matter how good the car performs. Their warranty, customer service all sucks.

good luck in getting your problems resolved and hope you get the car back soon and are able to enjoy it.

Now, the BAD NEWS. As if I havent had enough bad luck... it got 10x worse. Well to my knowledge I was told the new rear diff was coming in this past Friday (yesterday). Well, the service manager called me and said it didnt come and its not going to, not this this entire week!

I am #7 or 8 on a list of people with 2005 EVOs that need a new rear differential, so clearly this is an inherent problem. With that being said, Joe the SM told me there is a possibility he will get it in 2 weeks... you think thats long? If I dont get it in 2 weeks, GUESS how long... MID MARCH. I almost started laughing. It doesnt get any worse than this...

There is obviously no way I am waiting until March. They said Mitsu will credit me for my car payments blah blah, who cares.

NY Lemon Law is fully sustainable if you do not have your vehicle for more than 30 days within first year/12k miles. Tomorrow it will already be 10 days gone.

So basically, I'll know on Monday or Tuesday how long the diff will take. If its March, its hello lemon law.

The ****ty part is I REALLY love the car. EVO is my dream car, let alone that blue with the leather, HIDs, etc. I finally get it, drive it for 5 days and this happens, it gets bad, worse, even more worse, now to just about as bad as it can get. I feel like someone let me borrow their EVO or something. Terrible. ****.

BTW - Mitsubishi is the most terrible corporation I have ever seen. 90% of their dealers are *******s, the service people are not helpful, and they dont do anything for you when **** like this happens. Their REALLY lucky the EVO is such a sick car because I didnt LOVE the EVO, there is no way in hell Id bring my business back to them. And they wonder why their doing so bad financially

I really feel for you guys who are having problems with your cars. I quess I am one of the lucky ones who have had no problems with their cars. I bought my EVO in April of 03, and the car has been great. Almost two years old and it runs great. I have added several Mods and will continue to do so, until it is a 12 second car. As far as the dealership, I have had no reason to deal with them again. And the quality of Mitsubishi vehicles, I can only speak of the quality of my car and I'm satisfied.

Well this is NJ. Different story. The car was swapped from PA up to NY so it had 109 miles on it when I got it. The only person to drive it was the guy who picked it up and drove it to the dealer for me to get it. I met the guy he was in his mid 40s at least, maybe even 50.

This is the other big problem. The next Electric Blue EVO with SSL is coming off the boats March 1st. So even if they did say, heres a new one, or if I do lemon law, Im gonna have to wait til March. Either way it sucks, unless of course I get the diff next week, which is a possibility, but judging from my luck so far, Id say its out of the question

It has to be the same problem and they have 3 times to fix it.. so it has to happen 4 times..... and this has to be in 90 days...... that is the lemon law.... I know because i'v brought my tc leak in for the 3rd time and it been 6 weeks and it has to happen one more time within the 90days before I can lemon it....

it's three times or 30 days of work on the car = lemon. my friend successfully lemoned his viper after he blew the motor. but chances are they will try to have you not lemon the car. you will go to court, they'll settle you out by payin you and fixing the car and in return you will sign the dotted line saying you will not lemon the car.

OK well tomorrow is 14 days gone. However they did call me today to tell me the rear differential is coming in Friday. So hopefully everything will be together early next week so I can inspect it before I take it back! Wow, I cannot wait to get her back! DAMN!
