BIG probelm in new 05
Well I picked up my EVO 05 on Saturday and I mentioned in my 1st post a problem with turning. The more I turned the wheel, the more the car bucked and the more resistance I got. So anyway, since they were closed on Sunday, I made an appt Monday morning for today (Thursday).
Well, not to my dismay, the tech comes in and says I have a big problem, and of course they are not sure what it is yet. Either differential or TC. They have to look further, call Mitsu in Cali to see if there is any previous problems, etc.
FIGURES. My luck. I buy a brand new car with huge ****ing problems. Can Mitsubishi do ANYTHING right? Ive had the car for only 5 days!
The more I think about it, it has to be the differential. Since the MORE I turn the wheel the worse it gets, it makes sense that the diff is locking up - because if youre turning in a circle the inside wheel is spinning slower than the outside wheel, but in my case, it seems they dont want to do that and that is why Im getting all the resistance and bucking? Does that make sense to any of you savy technical guy? I dont know much but I dont a little and thats the only thing that really makes sense.
I hope its not too long. The dealer (FREEHOLD MITSU) gave me a loaner car (Lancer ES.. yay) at least so I can get around, but serioulsy, this SUCKS.

If the dealership finds out that the car had previous problems make them give you a new one. If it didn't have anything done to it before the dealer got it make sure they replace everything new. You should also have them give you something to compensate for your troubles.

sorry if repost..
I remember reading about a new owner who when was parking his car the car locked up, and then again when he got home. Guess the front differential was left without fluid from mitsu dealership. think they ship it dry, somewhat and didnt filll it full before sale. Just a side note.

I wanted to jump over the desk and beat the living sh_t out of him because of the way he was treating me as a customer.
actually do me a favor...go talk to him and tell him i said to go f_ck himself....that was the one thing i forgot to tell him...thanks
but in all seriousness. deal with Dominic if you're looking for a manager...do not deal with tom.....he is not trustworthy.
