I pay 470/month for 60 months and I didn't put anything down either.
Geez no wonder it seems like everybody and their mother can afford an evo, because you guys are paying a ****load each month for payments!!!
Honestly, are most of you dumping your whole month's paycheck into your evo's? Along with insurance i'm assuming most of you that "didn't put any down" are paying around $700-800 a month. Are any of you struggling to make payments?
I'm a full time college student with 2 jobs, and my eclipse has been paid off since day 1 (dad payed for it
). I "was" shopping for a new car a few months ago, but every car I wanted the payments were going to be $250-300 a month. And that is after putting $13000 down. Note that I don't need to pay for my own insurance neither.
And I already find $300 a big struggle for me so I decided to wait a while. I could technically afford to make $500 payments, but that would mean cutting back on the daily luxaries such as buying clothes, food, misc stuff, going out etc etc.
I know people that drive nice cars and go home to a dinky apartment with no food in the fridge, and/or people that drives supras, but has $5 in their checking accounts.
Are all of you rich *****es or are you scraping by each month just to afford the evo?

Heres my theory, to be able to afford a msrp car of $32,500(example the EVO8), one must at least make $32,500 a year. If you dont make this much at least, dont try to buy it.
I'm a fulltime student with a parttime job, and I don't make 30g+ a year. However, I can afford the Evo comfortably (parents did not help at all). It's all about smart planning. I saved and dropped 15g's down, so that made my payments 300/month+125/month for insurance. That's like paying for any other car.

MAXR, I guess your living on crumbs and water then. A person making $15,000 a year clearly cannot afford a msrp $32,500 car. Damm! $250 a month for liability, thats outrageous.
What I mean about my statement is, the average person dont live with mamma and pappa, lives comfortably without scrambling for money every month, ma and pa didnt pay for your ride and ect.

28,900 not 32,500. I don't live with ma or pa and neither bought my car. I don't know why you say a person making $15,000 a year clearly can't afford an evo. It doesn't happen overnight though. Long term investments and serious sacrifces have to be made.

I barely make 17,000 a year, and full time student. I'm 20.
It's called living off of Top Ramen.
or it's called OD'ing on sodium.
Either way, I'm getting by.

! That is probably what i will be doing in mid 04. 5-10k down with lower payments....sweet!
