Paying 580/month for 5 years at 3.75%... nothing down...
Insurance increased $800/year due to my multi-car discount...

BTRTURBOCHARGED,

I dont think any of these info will help you much...
Best way is to call your insurance agent and get a rate for your
new car....

One payment, $30,312. Got a payout for 297 days of unused sick leave when I retired in June... so I did something responsible and bought a toy. Get to drive it anytime I want since I don't have to work. Really screwed up the youth demographics for Mitsubishi.

insure your car if you got more than one ticket.

That's me. I live in a big city with full coverage too, on my own policy, I don't know what to say, hehe. Actually, I took defensive driving, I have good grades, a clean driving record, and I had a 759 (which is top 2%) credit score at the time. Your credit score does have a good impact on it.

My driving record is completely clean and my Credit is insane for a 21 year old. My credit score was 754. My insurance is under my mom who has a total of 4 cars insured (her two, sister's, mine... blah blah) so I think that helps the insurance a little too. And I took defensive driving before I got my evo. That saves several hundred dollars a year in insurance. Defensive driving is the most boring and meaningless 6 hours you will ever experience, but it is worth it.

My wife in my insurance agent and I have a absolute clean record. Never a single ticket in my life, hard to believe with my RX7 She said it would actually be less than the RX7, about $700 a year with a $100/$100 deducatable. Of course, with her as the agent, I get discounts not normally available to most people

You are quite correct. There are BIG companies like West Bend who won't touch someone even if they have a single ticket for 5MPH over. Of course, if you do have a clean record and good credit, they give you one hell of a cheap insurance rate

6 Hours? Mine was like 3 days! I feel no pitty for you. Funny thing, on the cover of the defensive driving manual they gave us, it has a picture of a steering wheel with the Ferarri badge in the center. Strange how they would pick a car synonymous with speed with a defensive course.

Oh, and with my insurance being as high as it is, that is with no wrecks or tickets on my record.......nothing....since I started driving....and it is still that high.

Mine is 523 a month for 60 months.

Not sure if I'm going to keep it for long, since my dad got laid off a month ago, so I may have to get rid of it to help out the family.

Anybody in D/FW got hookups by any chance? He's got 20 years of experience in QA and manufacturing, and has a degree in EE.
