I ran one that has frontmount,exhaust,boost controller and more but is using the stock twin turbos. He claimed 400whp so we ran he started infront of me and from a 5mph roll I started to pull him right away I caught him at top of third and passed him. I was running 19 pounds with a BR580 turbo on pump gas with a safc2 running like sh*t. I will be running a supra with a big turbo in a couple of weeks he claimes 600whp so we will see what happens.

 

I have both cars. Supra is 450whp and the Evo I'm just starting. But you need a bigger turbo on the Evo to keep up with a stock turbo modified supra. And if the supra has a big single then forget it.
If I run Drag Radials I can launch with the Evo off the line and be right next to it. On the highways the supras rule.
These cars are very different but I love them both.

 

I raced a 1986 supra....... not sure what he thought he was driving.
its like 2am and he stops and lets me go first out of a gas station im like uhh ok.
absolutly no cars around lol. He then comes up to my passenger side at the next light. And revs on me . I know he wasent turbo but he defentnetly had exhaust.
. My 03 is bone stock. Well u know what happend....... i let him go first (not wasting clutch) shifted to 2nd and pulled about 3 buses till 4th.

Id like to try a turbo supra stock. Not sure i wanna play with modded ones.

 

Good stuff....I guess unless I strap a t67, t72, or t88 Im SOL....lol. Or I can always go buy one. The only thing tha sucks is if you wnated to run a really big turbo on the EVO gt42 and up you'd need a srokeer kit and poss. a shot to spool it...pour little 4cyl. But yes I was comparing apples to oranges. One thing is for sure the supra is a Bad a** car, and our little EVO's are the Supra's of the 4cyl world.

 

A 35r with the big exhaust housing on YOUR car and I think the supras might have some problems.

 

But then again I heard there is a single turbo supra running around kc that is beating r1s.

What are BPU Supras usually trapping at? I know it depends on the mods, but some stock turbo EVOs run 11s and trap anywhere from 115-118MPH on the average. I would imagine that it is possible for a stock turbo EVO to keep up with a BPU Supra?

 

Don't get me wrong, I know the highway is the Supras strength, just like the dig is the EVOs. But the Supra is not invincible, nothing is invincible. getting an EVO to push out 350WHP+ on the stock turbo is not that difficult, and I believe a 350-370WHP EVO is more than a match for a 400WHP BPU Supra in most cases.

 

Just to tell you something guys, we have an evo. We have one of the most amazing JDM cars in the world. I beat a twin turbo supra that was boosting 19 psi. All i was boosting was 20psi maybe spiking at 21 in 3rd and 4th gear and a BR air filter and smoked him. Out of the hole i left him standing liek if he was parked, and rolling from second, third and fourth.I murdered him pulling from 2 to 3 cars in every roll. So they are not that invinsible. Supras are faster on the highways because thats where they shine just like evos shine out of the hole and early gear rolls. Now you CAN make the evo shine at high speeds. I like supras though, done right they are bats outta hell.

Well my car weighs 3600ilbs with my fat as* in it. lol.........And I traped 115 for a 11.90 on stock motor and turbo.

 

my friend has a 380 whp supra and from a roll he kills me. im at about 315 whp in my evo. His is an automatic also, stock twins and BPU.

 

Isn't this just a gt40r? gt35r is just a gt40 or (t4) compressor with a gt30 or (t3) hotside.
