To keep up w/ a supra with that size of a turbo is going to take a LOTTTT of power. Best shot would be from a dig.

What if the EVO was fully built with a GT35r? Any better chance?

Well! You're now talking about 11s or even 10s potential car so yeah not a lot of Supra can outrun you.

You can beat a Supra any time in the RAIN!!
Other than that, it has more cylinders and will make more power. But Evo is an around car and can beat it in dirt and tracks.

True I would just like to be able to kick a little supra ace...... Some of them at least.

from a dig... you can take one... pending on their mods and driving skills... you may run 10's and beat some, but there's always some Supra's running 9's... it's a race what you brought basis... there's always someone faster, and no one see's this point... comparing Stock to Stock is an easier battle than worrying about mods... big singles and twin 2835's or 3037's, you're in for a hurting with them... but, i can tell you this, you play with one on the interstate, you'll be owned... on a road course, well, ppl discredit the Supra for it's handling and braking for some reason... it's not a bad handling car by no means.. it put up rediculous skidpad and slalom #'s back in 93 that's compareable to today's performance cars...... once again, driver and mods play the roll in the outcome...

Haha, stay away from Supra on the freeway unless you have t67 running on 100 octane. Maybe then you will stand a chance.

Big turbo, and atleast 500WHP+ to keep up with a single turbo Supra. For now Supra is sort of like the Cobra, been around a lot longer in the USA than the EVO, but it's just a matter of time...

I owned a 97tt and sold it @ 75000 miles. It had been producing in excess of 420whp for over 50000 miles, and it gave me ZERO problems.

Its going to be very difficult for the EVO to take any modified Supra from a roll. The only chance the EVO has is from a stop. The Supra's gearing is more suited for high speeds, as well as its lower cd.

The EVO is by far the more practical car, and frankly, a more enjoyable car. The Supra was a boggy car in city traffic, and really never came to life until 3rd gear. It also literally would not move if there was any semblence of snow, very frustrating indeed.

In the end you are comparing apples to oranges. The EVO is a rally bred street racer, while the Supra is a GT, I am still however, seeking Supra'ish acceleration, and hoping that the 20g kit may be my answer.

i raced a supra with my 03 from about 40mph coming off an exit ramp. i was behind him and we both gunned it. from 40 up i slowly caught up to him and finally when i was just shifting into 5th at about 115ish i was able so slowly walk passed him.

This was in my 03 EVO with 430hp at the wheels...lots of mods and lots of money into it.

the supra had a turbo back exaust, intake, boost control, and and AEM running pig rich at 10.5 to 1. STOCK TWIN TURBOS

Supras suck from a dig...but from a roll on the highway......they are absolutely rediculous.

Before I sold my Evo and it was 366whp I ran Junior from Turbo Trix in the RED (not WHITE) supra with 450whp from a 40mph roll. Guess what I won by about a car. When I was returning to the shop a modded Z06 wanted some and I inched on him from a roll too. Don't EVER under estimate the EVO.

Wow I'm surprised by that, I would have thought you have pulled more on him. I know that a Supra with the mods you listed is capable of close to 400WHP, but I would have thought it would have been alittle easier. You never know, are sure on those mods for the Supra, maybe it had alittle more? On the dyno queen supra, alittle more can easily add up to 75-100 more WHP. A long time ago I raced a WRX in my VR4, my VR4 had lots of mods and the WRX had 3 mods (exhaust, intake, and BOV). I couldn't pull an inch on that WRX. Anyways I later find out that his list of mods was longer than mine.
