i raced a company 03 evo with a tt supra and i had 3 people in the car and took him from a stop-90 and i was about 1/2 car ahead in the evo

 

That tells us nothing. We don't know the mods on the evo or the supra so this doesn't mean much seeing the performance variance on these cars can be huge. If they were both extrememly modified and the evo held up that well I would be impressed.

 

Never ran againsta a supra and never will. I have been in several modified supras both BPU and single turbo conversions and they are all very very fast. I wouldn't even waste my time. I just give a thumbs up if I see them on the road. I was in my friends single turbo conversion supra (670whp) and it was honestly one of my scariest moments in a car! I had to grab the door and raise my voice to slow him down. We did a 35-120mph sprint in what seemed to only take a few seconds on a 35mph street!

 

My friend has a supra with Greddy T78s and he won't race me. It's an automatic too.

Not all supras are super fast. I saw a stock one at the track and he could only manage a 13.9. I dunno how modded you are or they were but you looked pretty even as far as I could tell.

 

im hevely moded that was @ 20 psi low boostand pump gas( about 420whp) we went from 40 to 130

 

Wow 420whp at 20 psi... nice. I wish I could pump out number like that. Even if I got the rest of the supporting mods (cams, manifold, TB and standalone) I would probably venture to guess I would only be around 390-400whp MAX on pump. I am currently hovering around 350-360. Hoping for 380 with cams

 

well i ran against a tt supra at a 1/8 mile.. i dont know his mods but my mods where hks bov hks intake and dynoflash. when i we launched i was ahead two cars but when he shifted to 2nd thats when his whole power came out..but i still beat him though thats in a 1/8 though.. if it was a 1/4 he would had me. i ran a 8.7 and he ran a 8.9

one ran behind me at cecil country drag....BONE STOCK TT automatic witha chick driver..she dropped an 18 her first run(almost hit the wall)...then dropped a 13.4 !!!!

i ran 13.7 (missed 4th gear)

 

Stupid Question. Why would you guys race supras from a roll? I mean if it's your only option, then yea I guess go for it, but why not get them to stop? I mean its not like it wouldnt be a fair race! There are plenty of real fast supras Lol.

No question though, they are highway beasts...I got scraped by a modded one (i dont know what he had done other than the exhaust and front mount i saw) but he pulled on me on the highway (I was still stock) Those things have some serious top end power...not a real strong point for our cars

I agree but if you want to compare power between the 2 cars then go from a speed where both cars have traction.

I can stay with my bascially modded Evo off the line in my supra with drag radials.
Biggest weakness of the supra is launching it you get too much wheelspin unless you run drags
And of course know how to drive.
