welcome to the forum

Well I think the specs of the evo in australia might be a lil different from the evo here in the US.

05 EVO 8 has a claimed 276hp and 286 ft-lbs of torque ( but everyone knows those numbers are underrated), ACD ( active center differential) , in australia you might get the active yaw control as well ( AYC). Performance wise the evo and STI are very close, it all depends on the driver. I love my 05 evo, very easy to drive fast, and very easy to live with everyday.

I was thinking about the 05 STi before I got my MR. I could of had one for $29,000. I ended getting the MR for a few reasons.
1. I like the styling better, meaner looking exterior.
2. The MR handles a little better, sharper steering and quicker reflexes.
3. I loved the graphite gray with matching BBS rims.
I did like the interior of the STi a little more due to the 6-disc changer/better system and nicer hvac controls. I liked the seats in the EVO though, a little more comfortable to me. Hope that helps ya somewhat.
