. I can hear it now, "But mom, I've never wrecked my bike!!!" Ha ha, just kidding. But seriously, any one of those cars would be great. A good thing about the Evo is it will teach you quickly how important and expensive it is to take great care of a performance vehicle. If you want to impress the boys, get the Evo. If you want to impress the ladies, I'd say go for the more "luxurious" TL or G...
correct me if im wrong but are you 15 or younger? Its not my place, I know. I was just wondering.. Your really worked up about an evo at that age (again correct me if Im wrong) When I was 15 I was happy to get my dads old beat to hell nissan maxima with 200k miles on it. Thouse were the days because you had a car that wouldn't suprise anyone if it died but it was gold to you. Anywho, your parents rock if you that age and getting you an evo or if worse case a TL or G35!!! heh you could just wait untill next year and get the g35 skyline (450 bhp)!!!! lol.
GO GET THE TL!
it rocks ... because it has navigation system on it!
Any suggestions on the navi system for my 05 evo?
Got I wish nobody else get any more Evo.... coz More and more people are driving it now... sad...
G35.. nah... dont like the look of it..

Does anybody have any reasons I can give her to prove to her that I will not ride in the "fast lane" all the time, or convince her that I will not perform any dumb actions?

and she's offering a new TL or G35? those are badass cars, there was no way in hell my parents would buy me a 30k car at that age. some of you kids have it way better than you think.
Man you got some nice parents! I just hope that when you get out on your own and mommy and daddy stop making your car/insurance payments you can still afford it. I'm just bitter because I drove a crap car and lived in squalor until I got my PhD. It's wierd when your yearly income goes up 5X in one shot!
Be safe!

The Evo is a little bit much for a first car. You can always sell it a couple years down the road when you have some more driving experience and buy an Evo. My fast car training was mazda mx-3 to a NA 300zx to a E36 M3 to a 370rwhp Supra which was modded over 2 years to 446rwhp, and now I have an EVO. Its best to take these things in steps. You will most likely crash your first car, even if it is just a fender bender do you really want to be hurting an evo. I would seriously wait a couple of years before driving a 30k dollar car. You should start with something cheap that you can beat up.
Edit: unless your parents are really rich and the evo is your first step to getting a 100K dollar car.

The threads with whiney baby 15 yr. olds who just got their permits are getting old. I don't know how many kids i've seen in here complaining about how Mom and Dad said I can't have it but i want it so bad! If you're whiney and immature enough to start a thread complaining about how mommy won't let you have an Evo, maybe mother knows best? Grow up a little
I ran into a young kid at the road course back in 2003. He had an EVO. We got to talk and he told me something that I will always remember. He said that he is always working to make money so he can keep the car and it seems that the car owns him rather than the other way around. It is not financially sound to let a car "own" you.
If you are a young kid and your parents agreed to let you buy an EVO and you work in low paying job tp make money to pay for the EVO, then the EVO is going to OWN you. More than likely you will not make a big down payment on the car and since you are young the interest rate on the loan WILL be high. You will be lucky if your monthly payment is less than $600. Add insurance to that and you are SCREWED.
Get your priorities straight. Buy a clunker, go to college, get a decent paying job, save money, and THEN buy an EVO.

Don't let your mom know how non-sensible it is....that's what my dad did when we were getting mine
tell her it's AWD, has TONS of rear seat room, those child seat anchors and....it's just cooler
