Can this be Right??? $12,000 03 EVO VIII!

I need everyone's help on this one. I found this car while searching for my Dream car. $12,000 Evo VIII For Sale! It says it is a 2003 Evolution VIII with 6,654 Miles for $12,000... But then by reading the description it says it is a 2wd. Can this be true? Has Mitsubishi built a front wheel drive Evo VIII? It is all sounding a little too good to be true for $12,000. Can anyone help me by checking on this? If it is a true Evo VIII for $12,000, I would pay to have it shipped from Hawaii!
Thanks, Jay

Considering the mod list in the advertisement, location, and the $12k asking price, I would assume it was bogus.

Don't send them a dime.

Yeah, the trees and stuff in that pic don't look like Hawaii. It looks more like the midwest. That car probably has $12k in mods on it. I say scam as well.

If you have a carfax account, check the VIN#, it is a valid #. Also, I just searched on the contact # area code, 626. That's a California area code.

Hmmmm unless you own a shop I don't think you want a $12K evo. Most of us have our hands full keeping up brand new ones. For that price there's some serious sh*t wrong with it considering you should be able to get a whole new motor for 5-6K. Strange with some mods on the car the owner never showed up here on Evom.... Any net searches for parts etc. usually turns up something Evom. Clear title, carfax?

Unfortunatly the VIN # is a true Evo VIII VIN. CarFax check says the there are 6 Flags on this car including being totaled. I would have to say that the person is trying to sell a totaled car. I will keep looking, dreaming of the day I will finally get an Evo VIII. It maybe 10 years from now, but I will have one someday!
Thanks all for calling out this scam!

well you could prob ask a member of the forums to help you out, if the car is in Hawaii then ask someone from hawaii to go and look at it for you and drive it. If there on this forum then they prob own an evo or want one pretty bad so they would be able to tell you if its a scam or not., same goes for if its in cali, the number doesnt suprise me I mean I live out of the state where my number is.. I use a cell phone.
