hallman mbc - need help
i just bought someones hallman pro rx mbc. i think he has the heavy spring in there.
is the knob really hard to turn or something? i tried loosening the knob and it didnt happen. in fact 2 other people tried to turn it counter clockwise and it didnt move.
i managed to get it moving clockwise (more boost) but i cant get it to go counter clockwise
anyone know whats going on? i figured counter clockwise would be to loosen it up and have less boost and vice versa is more boost while making it more tight. i guess it just seems more intuitive to me that way.

so your saying u can get it to turn clockwise, and once that's done it wont turn back? how much can u turn it clockwise before it wont turn anymore? maybe it's just already at the counterclockwise extreme position
pro rx that has the cockpit mount you're talking about?
I had that same thing happen to me.
What you have to do is.
1. Take the top out, take the ball out, spring out too.
2. Once you've taken the ball and the spring out, look inside. you'll see a Flat Head screw in there.
3. Take a long screw driver and stick it in there, turn counter clock wise about 1/2 turn.
4. Test your knob, it should work.
5. put everything back together, drive and adjust boost... to 50000 psi! umahahaha....
the gold thread inside the black plastic hose that connects to your knob's just bottomed out. When you turn it, turn right. It takes about 3 full turns and few more to get to 20psi, since you'll be starting out at 11 psi.
Hope this helps. Search for Hallman Pro RX EVo install thread, all your infos there along with issues, etc.

sorry i meant without the cockpit mount...
initially i also thought it was at the max counter clockwise position. but once i moved it clockwise a little, i figured i could move back to that max position - but it didnt move.
how do i take the top out if i can only turn it clockwise?

for this thread record, MBC's in T shape. Take a wrench (10mm or so) and open the top of the T.
The spring and ball falls out and you'll have your flat head screw. Turn the screw counter clock wise about 1/2 turn to loose it.
And vula~, you're set to turn your stuck knob.
pmed you.

wooo.... you shouldn't have taken the flat head screw out.
You should of just kept it there and try to turn it.
I still think it's defective. There's no way why that shouldn't turn after you take the flat head screw out.
