North Carolina Tuner/Shop?
North Carolina Tuner/Shop?
Can anyone here recommend a good shop in the Durham/Raleigh area? Also wondering if there is a 4 wheel dyno nearby and if Vishnu or any other tuners visit the area periodically.
thanks,

there is a 4 wheel dyno near the charlotte area, i think thats the only one in the state almost unless you feel like driving to SC or GA
eurospeed might be a good start for parts and i think phantasm motorsports would be another one. check the south east forum, also tommorrow there is a meet in north raleigh at the carolina ale house on wake forest road at exit 10 off of 440 belt line, i can pm you with my cell # if you want directions
oh, the meet is at 5pm but we have a few of us meeting up early at tims house
we should have a few evos up there so if your interested come on out
edit: i think the tuners were here not to long ago before the end of the year, but not sure when they are comming back

The nicest shop I've found is Ride revolution in Johnson City near Bristol. I know it's not in North Carolina but, it's a pretty bad *** shop. They've got an all-wheel drive dyno and an R34 Skyline which is almost worth the drive itself.
Thanks!
Ooops,....sorry about the misplaced thread (I'm a noob here, can you tell?).
Thanks for the info fellas....I'm looking forward to tinkering with this car. It amazes me the HP gains per dollar you can get with the Evo. I could easily spend 10 GRAND on my race M3 for just a few tenths gain per lap, so the Evo is seeming very economical to me right now.
Thanks for the invite this weekend....I'll give it a shot, but my kids (yeah, I'm an old guy) may keep me busy.

Any indep. reputable garadge will do (depends on what you want to have done). Half of the mods can be done by yourself (with great $ savings). Call around and ask for the best hourly rate or by the job rate. Get Mitsu approval *writing, if you want to keep your warranty,.

Phantasm is a joke. Avoid them. There is an AWD Mustang Dyno in Mooresville just a little north of Charlotte. There is a 2WD dyno in Denton and Turbo Tune in Greensboro has a 2WD dynojet as well.

Nicest shop I've ever seen, you could eat off the floor! They have a DynoDynamics AWD dyno, the absolute best of the best. Andrew and his crew are top notch, and take the time to make it right the first time. They live by the moto "Do it right, do it once". It's a bit of a drive, but well worth it.
And Shiv Pathak from Vishnu will be there April 2, 3, and 4th to do a tuning day.

I can personally vouch for Andrew, he's qualified and trustworthy. A rare combo in this industry.
