Mobil 1 oil filter for my MR M1-110

I saw in the book that M1-110 Mobil 1 Oil filter was the 2004 Turbo lancer
so thats the one I picked for my MR.
Can I use this one, it is smaller than the dealer one installed..

Thanks

It is fine, I have the same filter on my car. I actually thought it was the wrong one too after I first saw the size difference, but it fits the threads perfectly.

I'm using the M1-108 on my car right now.

I called the Mobil1 phone hotline from their website (yeah, they actually have an oil filter hotline). (800) 882-0890. They told me that the M1-110 is actually the right filter for all Evos (2.0 liter turbo engine). I plan on switching very soon.

I think the 108 may be the right filter for the base Lancers, but I'm not totally sure on that one.
