Seems like in the first pic they are crowding around someone lying down outside the port-o-potty in the farther background. I hope no one was seriously injured.... poor MR

that's crappy.

Things like this really suck because they put a black mark on the safety record of auto-xing and make it harder to set up events.

ImportPepe, this is messed up you posted this (because now, everyone will flame him) - that car belongs to a member on here - I dont know the full details of what happened - but I'm sure he is OK and he will be back on the road in no time.

well, i'm not too worried about the evo owner. if the potty was occupied then I'd be more worried for that person-although i'm sure this person will get a nice injury lawyer and make a few bucks on the ordeal.

I was the driver and yes I was aware of the risk. I was running on Rs which was a lot worse than the advans on ice. I'm happy that the guy is ok. The car will be ready by the end of this week for the meadowlands autocross.

You can stop with the bashing as this is not my first autocross. I acknowledge pushing the car too agressively at the end but that was a chance that I took because I'm very competitive. I'm still curious to find out what my time was since the majority of the run was excellent. I was extremely fast in the fast bits and would probably post FTD if this mishap did not happen.

If my car is not ready by this weekend, I will be in an RS for the next autocross so it is no biggie. The evo is my competition car and I'm not worrying about.

What damage was on your car? From those pics I can't really see the extent of it all.

I'm not understanding why it is messed up. He heard something about an evo and posted it. The guy who drove the evo knows it was an accident and I'm sure the guy in the porta potty will go somewhere else next time. It was an accident no one was hurt and no one is blaming anyone. Some people just like to judge before the truth comes out.

I think some people should at least be aware of what can happen at an autox. It may hurt the sport, but can also improve it too. Good example not to autox without the proper tires.

minor damage. The front bumper which I wasgoing to replace anyway because a friend of mine scratch it from before. The left side intercooler piping needs to be replaced because it is bent by the curb. the right front passenger SSR has a slight dent which I can get fix no biggie. I drove the car back to Jersey and was leaking boost due to the intercooler piping. Oh and I need to replace and paint the right fender with a new one. There was no suspension damage.

Autocrossing in the snow is actually quite fun with the proper tire. Again since I am very competitive and does not take no for an answer, I decided to run on my Rs anyway especially when the snow on the course was really starting to melt. I lost grip at the end of the finish line straight away on second gear at redline. That should tell you how fast I was going.

My insurance was not involved in this since Ican pay for the damages myself so it is not going on my driving record.

I was actually waiting to see when the pictures were going to pop up here. I knew it was just a matter of time. I don't care if it is posted here. And yes do have the proper tire when auto-xing in the snow. Not so much for the safety, but The Rs were absolutely horrible and hurt my time big time.

?

Sh8T happens and some of us will spin and hit cones and sometime have minor mishaps. I don't get your point? The events will go on because things like this does get calculated in the whole equation.
