The fact of the matter is that all forms of hatred (like racism) stem from our beliefs about our origins.

 

I don't see Noah's Ark and Flood story as entirely Jewish or Christian in its origin. The Ark and Flood story was based and adapted from the Sumerians' (ya, Conan the Barbarian and his people) Gilgamesh; recently, scientists found clay tablets that predated Gilgamesh. Also, the flood only happened in the Mesopotamian region and washed everything out to the salty seas of the Persian Gulf.



Incest in any way in the past or future isn't a good way to do anything. You create genetic bottleneck. This happened in the Middle Ages when aristocrats and royalty were so afraid of marrying outside the immediate family circle. Instead, they created monsters (not literally) with mental and blood problems. Did those kids live long enough before Machiavellian principles kick into overdrive from power hungry nobles or royal heirs insisting on fratricide?

If you're a cop, airport duty has gotta be bottom-of-the-barrel. He was probably just taking it out on you.

You shoulda asked him why he couldn't get a real assignment, like maybe at a crosswalk or something.

I don't think I would bother reporting it or trying to go to court. It is your word against his and you did break the law. Those covers and even just brackets are illegal here too. While I don't agree with the attitiude a few have expressed that you shouldn't be upset about it - I would chose my battles carefully and this seems like one you should just walk away from. Count your blessings that it didn't turn into a Rodney King style beating, or excessive verbal assault, or even just a ticket for something you didn't do. The most that will happen, I think, is the cop gets a slap on the wrist and you still have to pay the ticket.

Even still, if you decide to fight it, I understand the need to take a stand too. Who are we to judge what is worth fighting for and worth letting go? If it is going to keep eating at you then go right ahead. If someone had told Rosa Parks, "Hey, at least they are letting you on the bus - be glad you aren't being thrown off or beaten." we might still be several years back in progress in this country. I say let it go, but do what you think is right for you. Don't let anyone here change your mind.
