This has happend a few times. It seems to happen more frequently now. Okay here it is.... When the car is running at idle in neutral or 1st gear at a complete stop there is a loud rattle. The rattle starts off quiet and gets very loud. If i rev it up a little bit the rattles seems to go away. I got out of the car to see where it was coming from and everytime it stopped. I determined that it only happens when Im sitting in the driver seat, or push down on the seat. It is not from something minor, because There is a huge viberation throughout the entire car when this happens. but as soon as i get out of the car to check it out it goes away... i sit back down and it starts again. This only happens every once and a while... Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Please help me out here... Thanks

 

Probably your TBE hitting something

 

Yeah, check the heatshielding under the car around the TBE, mine rattled really bad in just about the same way...till we took a screw driver to the heatshield

 

You think so? Even tho it only happens when im sittin in the driver seat.. Even with someone sitting in the passenger seat it still would stop everytime i jumped out to try and figure it out....
