The US Evo8 that we've seen so far looks great from the outside but the interior is just dirt cheap like a Mirage.
There seem to be some hope that we'll be getting an interior upgrade, from the info listed by Dem1K's post,

there'll be a 6 disk in-dash CD changer avaliable for the Evo8 in April, maybe the Evo will also get a better console to go alone with that.
Anyone or dealers know anything about this?

I'm just hoping we can get the same interior as the Euro version of the Evo8....Is that a LCD screen ???

 

How does a 6-disc changer (which isn't seen in the interior) and the addition of the navigation lcd screen change the cheap feeling? It is the same materials, etc.
There will be an available 6-disc changer but console won't change. Mitsubishi isn't known for it's high quality interior. Go buy an Audi if you are worried about that.

 

Actually it's more or less the same interior in an OZ. Better quality than a Mirage by far if you ask me...and I don't think the Mirage is too bad either. It's quite decent. Besides that, the 6 disc is offered on just about every Mitsubishi car, is it not?

 

I don't want Audi quality interior, my dad had an Audi and it's interior design sucks, I just want a Euro spec Evo interior that's shown in the picture. Can't you see that the interior of the Euro Evo is much better than the US version? I think the 6-disc changer will come in a 2-din configuration, which looks better than the 1-din. And don't tell me that LCD screen doesn't make the dash look much cooler.

 

I think it looks like the OZ interior too, and I'm very happy with mine. Tons better than any ford/gm/chrysler car.

 

Besides stereo or seats, I guess you haven't really payed too much attention to the interior of all previous Evos? They're all pretty plain and basic. It's a driver's car, not a rider's car.

Audi is surprisingly cheap in my opinion. At the Anaheim and LA auto show i got into a couple Audis. The buttons in their cars felt like they were going to fall off. If u like high quality interiors u should look at the new honda accord. The button feedback and feel is very smooth and fluid on the 2003 accord. If ur concerned about interior quality go with the 6 speed v6 accord coupe coming out in feb 2003 i believe.

 

Well first off, apparently you haven't been in any late model audi's because their interiors are top-notch.




Secondly, your argument is not clear at all. Originally you talked about quality but your argument has only been about looks. You just said "looks better" and "looks much cooler". Neither has anything to do with qulaity. Clear up your story and then start over again.

Read my post again, my point is I'm hoping the US will get a Euro spec interior in the future, and I want to know if anyone has any info on it.

 

the point of the evo8 isn't to have leather seats, seat heaters, navigation systems, $8000 audio, parking sensors, and dvd players, the money is saved on all of that to make it lighter and be cheaper, the money went into the engine and drivetrain, its not a luxury car its like the old sportscars that were designed to be pure driving machines, it would be cool if they had a really stripped down version with no ac/power windows or locks, and no stereo, but i guess that wouldn't sell much.

 

HEEeeeeeyyyy! WHat the ....!!! Is this a mirage I see or is that an ACD switch and the ACD indicator clearly evident on the tach?!?!? This is supposed to be an 8? Nobody that I know of has been saying diddly about a Euro with ACD! Anyone wanna chime in on this?

 

Everyone knows that the Euro Evo 8 is getting ACD and the U.S. Evo isn't.
