also says transmission is automatic at the top, but near the bottom it says, 6 speed manual . this sounds like one of those bike scams. only 6k for THAT kinda supra? that is total bs unless hes lost his mind

 

but aint it true that a 500 hp supra still only does 12's but a 500 hp evo is 11's possibly 10. on a roll the supra will rape us, no doubt about that. but maybe not that bad. depending on the level of mods, the supra is heavy.

dont get me wrong the supra is a bad *** car. but i do think that the SKYLINE has to be the king of imports, with the supra coming in right behind it.

 

fyi - a T04R is more in the 600-700rwhp range.

Noel Samuel dynoed the highest ever with a to4r in the US and he crammed out around 730rwhp.. that was with careful tuning help from Bob Norwwod.

u can run 11's easy with a 500whp supra just have to know how to drive... it s all in the launch
and the supra is not that heavy 3215-3415 lbs depending if it s auto or manual.

 

About the same, but still quicker, mainly because of lighter weight and AWD.

 

Motor Trend 2003, not sure what month. Feb-March? They tested the Evo along with some other cars. 4.5 0-60 and 13 1/4. A hair quicker behind the Cobra I believe. Do a search on these boards...a few 12.9's

i have one guide line and u should follow it too, if i dont see it with my own eyes i am not going to beleive it. BTW motor trend adjust their time by calculating perfect conditions which i think is bs, coz u ll never get perfect conditions, at the track stock evos i have seen run between 14 flat and 13.4, the only evos i have seen runing 12.9 stock are the JDM evos. personaly the first time i got to the track i ran 13.7 with a 1.9 60ft. ok if u want to play magazine race check this out http://toyota.jbcarpages.com/Supra/1995/index3.php

I believe those numbers for the Supra. I believe it was the 93 models, the first year the twin turbos came out. I remember seeing a 4.6 0-60 and I think they hit 12's, not sure. So there. There was even a long term test that was done on an Evo, 4.6 0-60 they got. The majority of Evo's you see on the track are not professional drivers you have to remember. Sure there are variances, all depends on who is driving. Even though you see an Evo running a 14 doesn't mean that is what they run, I mean come on, this is an Evo we are talking about. You don't out accelerate Ferrari's and tail Lambo's with a 14 sec 1/4.
