adjustable center diff

I hate adding to the rumor mill but was wondering if the US spec will get the adjustable center diff. like the Jap version. I saw other posts where they claim that the price will be under $30K, if that's the case, Mitsu has to cut some bells and whistles out of the car to get it to that price. Especially if the HP rating will be ~260bhp. I hope they keep the center diff, because I'm contemplating between a STI and EVO when they come to the states.

Too expensive to re-design parts to replace ACD. More likely they'll skimp on the value-add items like Brembo brakes, seats, and other accessories. It's a lot easier to cut corners that way than to reengineer a core component of the vehicle.

ACTIVE center diff is not a given in an Evo 7. On the RS version it is an option, so Mitsubishi do already have the parts to make the car without ACD. However, if they sell the GSR, it will have ACD.

Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope we get the ACD. If it comes to the states w/ that feature, I might dust my Subaru for a

AYCgets a lot of bad press but in he 7 it is vastly improved and is a well worth while feature. In addition, as SuperLancer has mentioned in another thread, you can get a sports ECU that improves the handling even further.

A lot of mixed views on the AYC on previous EVOs...a lot of Japanese tuners even swapped in a mechanical LSD in place of the AYC...

Like snelson said, the AYC on EVO VII should improve...

However, so far the reviews on the ACD are almost all positive...I'd rather have a ACD w/ LSD instead of an AYC w/ mech central diff IMO...

I agree w/ Lan Evo. That's the best setup. I hope it comes that way, unfortunately, my brother will probably get the EVO and I'll get an STI. I still want the ACD!
