Mod Questions about my car

I am looking to add a few items to the car.

Here is what I wanted to know.

I was told that an intake was not a good idea to the Air/Fuel Ratio. Does anyone have any experience good or bad with an intake install? I also am going to get the AFCII so if need be I can alter the air flow.

I want to get the Exeddy twin plate clutch. Any one use this with any problems or good use from this item?

I was looking at getting the Greedy Full titanium exhaust. Any one want to comment on this item. I will also be getting a test pipe and high flow cat.

Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks

you'll get lean spots with an intake, heard typhoon intake is horrible, stall probs, etc.

you'll need S-AFCII or get flash.

exeddyh twin plate isn't ideal for traffic driving, and they only holds about 500lbs of tq, which is about the same as act hdss, which is half the twin plate price.

get what ever exhaust you want, they all work the same. make sure you clear the tie bars.

good luck.

Mod path very subjective:

My 2 cents:
Busher down pipe
Busher TB exhaust
Hallman MBC
K&N drop in filter
Flash the ecu for those mods (which ever vendor you prefer)/ s-afcII which ever you feel comfortable with.
Act clutch/fidanza fly wheel.

This should give you a good bang for the money.

An AFC with an intake works just fine. Look into getting a logger to monitor fuel trims. You will have to up the fuel between 1000-3000 RPM's.
I ran a test pipe and cat-back for about a week. Then I got a downpipe and I swear that made the biggest difference.
Why do you want an Exeddy twin plate clutch?

Don't know much about the intake, but I have an Exedy twin clutch and it doesn't bother me at all driving it daily.

I can't vouch for this myself, but I've heard of a LOT of people having problems with intakes (power loss, stalling, etc). It seems like drop-in filters are a safe and efficient way to "upgrade" your factory airbox. That's what I plan to do. I think exhaust is really just a matter of taste. The Greddy Ti is gonna be loud as hell, but light. If you don't mind the volume, then go for it!! It's a beautiful exhaust, I'm constantly tempted by its presence at my local performance shop.

^^ oh yeah, I am also curious why you want the Exedy twin-plate. If you're talking about your first mods here, I'd save the money and spend it on something else for now. Wait till the stock clutch eats it! haha

Hehe, that's why I got the Exedy. Stock clutch caved at 3k, dealership refused to replace it, so I went aftermarket. First mod to my car.

I would go ACT clutch, TB exhaust, K&N Drop in, MBC, and Flash after all hardware is installed. It put me close to 300 WHP.

Thanks all for the information. If i do get an intake i will get the AFCII, i was planning on getting that already, from Bushar racing with the maps they have laid out.

I was looking at the clutch, based upon what i heard about it and that i heard it also helps stopping the gears from slipping and grinding. But i will take a look at the ACT clutch and flywheel also.

With the exhaust, i like the way the TI one looks, and sound does not bother me all, and of course the light weight is always a plus.

go to logicperformance.com they custom made a TBE and it sounds great and added tons of power... still polished 304 stainless and thick flanges... cat delet pipe and cel fix included... best thing is that you get all the qualit of the brand name stuff for half the price!!!

TBE $599 talk to chris tell him i sent u!!!

with the 300-400 u save get a flash or whatever else you need they have every mod you can think of there and chris says he will beat any price... so go check it out. I'm not gonna tell you how much i saved there, but i swore to him if i ever needed anything else that i would come to him first, so please give his TBE a look its a great piece for a great price!!!

Check out some of the vendors, they run some nice package deals. For example, gruppe-s.com has a turbo back exhaust from helix for well under a grand. Letting everything breathe better should be your first step, followed quickly by a reflash or S-AFC
