Sunroof or Not

I think a car like this shouldn't have a sunroof. Dam it's already adding 35 more pounds + messing up reinforements who's with me.

I'd like a sunroof. I'm not bothered by the slight gain in weight or anything. It's just a feature I like having on a car.

does the sunroof weaken structural strength? by how much? i would think the rolled edges of the opening would add strength

Yea, but don't they have to cut out some of the structural braces in the roof to put it in?

I dont mind sunroofs. Its always nice to be cruising with your sunroof out and everyone watching you.

I luckily have the mindset where I can look at it from both ways; I definitely like having a sunroof, but also appreciate the more purist feel of the evo without a sunroof. Mine's not going to have one (not by any decision of mine one way or another) and I'm happy with that.

No sunroof.

- decreased headroom
- increased weight (at the worst possible place, up high in the car)
- decreased structural integrity
- decreased chassis stiffness

I won't badmouth anyone who gets one... but no sunroof for me!

No sunroof for me, I'm gettin t-tops to go with my enormous mullet. Seriously though, I would never get a sunroof. My lady has one and I don't even realize its there unless it is just throwing more sunlight into my eyes.

Im guessing the difference isnt even noticeable on the butt dyno and either way the car will be extremely impressive.
My 2 cents

I agree with Guack, that unless u use the Evo for only racing you most likely will not notice a difference with an extra 35lbs.
